Most people go to New Farm for dining on James St, Power House or a day out at New Farm Park. There are a few local car parks in the area that if you know where they are you can score a great park.
300 Car Spaces: Merthyr Village has parking for over 300 cars and the undercover car park can be accessed from Merthyr Road, Brunswick Street or Welsby Street. It is a shopping centre with a car park. If you go and buy something you should be okay to park there for a couple of hours however we don’t suggest you park there as you could get a parking ticket.

Brisbane Power House Car Park
The Brisbane Powerhouse carpark has over 100 free car parks open to the public and people using their services. When there is an event or busy time the Power House opens a one-way link road that connects to New Farm Park carpark that provides more than 200 additional car spaces for parking at New Farm.

3 Hours Free Parking At the Homemaker Centre
Park at the Homemaker Centre in the valley which is a short walk to James st and inner New Farm areas for 3 hours for free! This is a customer car park so we suggest doing a bit of shopping in the centre. A great free parking option.
